    HR Business Partner (m/f) DACH Region 

     

    Purpose of Position

     

    As part of the leadership team for the DACH Cluster (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and as an integral member of the wider EMEA HR team:

     

    • This role provides full HR professional operational and strategic support to the business.
    • To work as a proactive business partner to drive, influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of all organisational change, people process and business improvement initiatives to improve organisational effectiveness and people management to support growth.
    • The job holder is expected to provide both transformational advice and transactional support across all key areas of HR including recruitment, on-boarding, strategic resource planning, retention, employee relations, reward, organisational design and people development.
    • Pivotal to the success of the role is the ability to providing thought leadership, strategic input and the ability to act as both influencer and enabler ensuring that the role adds demonstrable value to the strategic aims of the business. 
     

    Key responsibilities & accountabilities

     

    • Act as strategic business partner to the DACH Regional Director
    • Contribute to the implementation of the BSI People agenda and the HR vision and strategy
    • Develop people strategy that supports the growth ambitions for the DACH region
    • Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of HR including organisation design, recruitment, retention & development
    • Develop the (3) year Resourcing & Talent Acquisition strategy for the global business that responds to both short-term and longer term resource plans, taking account of internal and external market influences
    • Oversee and manage the Strategic Resource Planning process for the DACH region
    • Working with the Regional Talent Acquisition Lead, adopt and embed best practice recruitment methodologies that deliver tangible results for the business within the country where the resource is domiciled
    • Manage the People Review, talent management & succession planning process on behalf of the DACH region
    • Provide strategic input on development, retention and engagement throughout the employee life cycle
    • Production of timely Management information and KPI on key HR metrics in line with both the regional HR needs and the wider global HR team and identifying appropriate HR solutions to any areas of concern
    • Provide guidance and support to the local Management Team on operational people aspects
    • Working with the Regional Head of Reward, ensure that reward practices and procedures are fit for purpose, supportive of business goals, and in line with requirements of BSI’s overall reward policy and practices. Propose changes to be supported by detailed analysis’s and best practise research
    • Ensure the business is compliant with local legislation and BSI global practices
    • Lead on Mergers & Acquisitions within the DACH region including integration plans
    • Ownership and delivery of ad-hoc people related projects pertinent to business area
    • Coaching of the local  HR team

    Person Specification - Experience

     

    • HR Professional with appropriate formal qualification
    • Proven generalist HR experience
    • Confident in building and embedding a range of strategic and operational HR processes and procedures
    • Experience of delivering line manager development sessions and facilitating L&D programmes essential
    • Proven experience of influencing and managing complex employee relations
    • Experience of influencing and persuading senior leaders and managers
    • Experience of managing change
    • Project management experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
    • Excellent understanding of the labor law within the DACH region
